Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your information.

Our approach to privacy

Zenial is built around anonymity. Inside sessions and in Écho you are identified only by a generated pseudonym. We collect the minimum information needed to run the service and never sell your data.

Information we collect

Account information: email address, optional phone number used for verification, language preference and the anonymous handle generated for you.

Wellbeing content you choose to create: journal reflections, mood check-ins, session responses and voice notes shared in Écho.

Technical information: basic usage and diagnostic data required to keep sessions stable and secure.

Audio sessions

Live group audio is streamed, not recorded. We do not store recordings of group sessions. Voice notes posted in Écho are stored temporarily and deleted automatically after 24 hours.

How we use your information

To provide and improve the service, match you with relevant sessions and tools, keep the community safe, process subscriptions, and send the notifications you have enabled.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers for hosting and databases, real-time audio, payment processing and transactional email. They process data only on our instructions.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your account information at any time from Settings, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile, journal entries and reflections.

Safety and emergencies

Zenial is a peer-support space, not an emergency or clinical service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
